MiCAFE, called “My Café,” helps people who are age 60 or older apply for a Michigan Bridge Card!  This new program is offered by Elder Law of Michigan and local senior and community centers in 10 Michigan counties.

The Michigan Bridge Card

The Bridge Card helps pay for food so seniors can use their cash to buy things like medicine or pay for heat, lights, water or make repairs to their home.

Call a center in your area to set up a time to meet.  A caring volunteer will sit down with you at the meeting and show you how MiCAFE works.  You don’t have to fill out any forms –it’s just one meeting.  You can also sign up for health care services at the same time if you like.
