Advocates for elders from throughout the state will explore opportunities for regional and statewide collaborations across the legal, aging, and community-based networks of service providers to help as many elders as possible with the limited resources that are available.

This is a free event and travel assistance will be provided for a limited number of delegates!

Colin Milner

Special Guest Speaker

Colin Milner, chief executive officer of the International Council on Active Aging®, is one of the nation's foremost visionaries and original thinkers regarding the health and well-being of the older adult. An award-winning writer, Milner has authored more than 180 articles on aging-related issues. He has also delivered speeches to thousands of business leaders throughout North America, including presentations for J.Walter Thompson's Mature Market Group, The U.S. Administration on Aging, The Kennedy Center, and IHRSA

Milner's efforts have inspired a broad spectrum of industry leaders,leading-edge publications, television networks and radio stations to seek his advice. Included among these is the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, Seattle Times, CNN, CNNMoney, AARP, The National Post, Bankrate.com, Globe and Mail, Parade Magazine, CARP - Canada's Association for the Fifty Plus, The American Diabetes Association, Retirement Living Television and CBC Radio. He has also served as an advisor to the U.S. Administration on Aging, The National Institute on Aging, The 2010 Vancouver Olympic Committee, and the prestigious National Blueprint on Aging. Milner was also invited to write a Vision Paper for the White House Conference on Aging and has presented to the Canadian Special Senate Committee on Aging.
